Founded by Erik Smith, SMITH Development was established with a focus on delivering thoughtfully executed custom homes defined by craftsmanship, precision, and enduring quality. Raised in a family rooted in both construction and design, Erik began working on jobsites at a young age and has spent more than 20 years building experience through every stage of the industry.
Over the course of his career, Erik has worked on some of Los Angeles’ most architecturally significant homes alongside leading architects and designers. His experience spans a wide range of complex residential projects, including hillside estates, deep foundation construction, and oceanfront properties requiring a high level of technical coordination and execution.
With a hands-on, detail-driven approach, Erik remains closely involved throughout the building process to ensure each project is delivered with care, precision, and uncompromising quality.
